Constipation Dietitian Nutritionist— Gut Reset Program
—Constipation Dietitian · Virtual coaching
Your constipation showed up and took over your life.
There’s a version of your life where it doesn’t anymore.
“Drink more water.” “Eat more fiber“. “Try this laxative“. You’ve been following the same advice for years and your gut is still making every decision before you do. What you eat, how you dress, and whether you leave the house in the morning.
You’ve tried everything your doctor suggested and nothing has given you a single reliable day.
That’s because chronic constipation doesn’t respond to standard advice and always has a root cause nobody has looked for yet. Finding it is what I do.
Sarah Neumann Haske, MS, RDN – Constipation Dietitian – Asheville, NC
Master of Science In Human Nutrition | 10 Years Gut Health Registered Dietitian | Certified Microbiome Analyst | Certified LEAP Therapist | Virtual 1:1 Coaching | Root Cause Medicine, Way Beyond Fiber and Laxatives
—Does this sound familiar?
You've been told to just eat more fiber.
But you're more constipated than ever.
Your colonoscopy came back perfectly normal and your doctor handed you fiber supplements and called it a day.
You’re bloated and uncomfortable by mid-day and it only gets worse from there.
You’ve been told it’s stress, hydration, low activity, or just something you have to manage with daily laxatives for the rest of your life.
You’ve seen multiple doctors and left every appointment with the same advice and zero explanation about why you’re so backed up.
You’ve tried fiber powders, laxatives, and suppositories and nothing has given you a consistent reliable bathroom routine.
You’ve cut things out, added things in, and tried every gut health supplement you can find online and you’re still stuck.
Travel, social plans, and dinners out are all planned around the anxiety of what your gut will or won’t do.
You’re done just managing your constipation and ready for someone to actually find out what’s causing it.

Youre gut stopped working.
Here's what's actually going on.
If you’re suffering from constipation — there’s real reasons that haven’t been investigated by your doctor. In this video I explain what’s actually driving your symptoms, why standard testing misses it, and what the path to real relief looks like.
—Why Nothing has Worked for Your Constipation
Fiber and laxatives manage constipation.
They don't find the cause.
Chronic constipation that doesn’t respond to standard advice almost always has an underlying root cause that nobody has looked for yet. Food sensitivities cause immune-mediated gut inflammation that directly impairs motility. Microbiome imbalances disrupt the bacterial signaling that regulates transit time. Nutrient deficiencies including magnesium, B vitamins, and specific minerals slow gut muscle function. Several studies found that chronic constipation completely unresponsive to laxatives resolved when food triggers were identified and removed (1, 2, 3, 4).
“We get the answers your doctor missed. Root cause medicine that goes way beyond fiber lectures and laxative prescriptions.”
MRT Food Sensitivity Testing
176 foods and chemicals tested. Identifies the specific immune reactions driving gut inflammation and impaired motility that standard allergy testing completely misses.
Shotgun Metagenomic Stool Testing
Maps your entire gut ecosystem — identifying the bacterial imbalances, dysbiosis patterns, and missing beneficial bacteria directly linked to slowed gut transit.
Micronutrient Testing
40 nutrients tested at the cellular level — finding the magnesium, B vitamin, and mineral depletions that impair gut motility and that standard bloodwork never catches.
—Why the digestive reset program works when nothing else has
You've already tried the standard approach for constipation.

You were told it’s IBS-C, anxiety, or just something to manage long term
You’ve been to multiple doctors, but given no real explanation for why you’re still so constipated

Sarah Neumann Haske, MS, RDN Gut Health Dietitian · Asheville, NC
I built this practice because women kept being
dismissed.
I’m a registered dietitian and certified microbiome analyst with 20 years of clinical experience — the last decade spent entirely on digestive health. I built this practice around one specific problem: the stubborn, confusing digestive issues that don’t respond to standard advice. Chronic constipation that doesn’t respond to fiber, water, and laxatives almost always has a root cause that nobody has looked for yet. Finding it is what my practice is built around.
I’ve worked with hundreds of women who came to me after years of normal colonoscopy results, fiber supplement recommendations, and laxative prescriptions that managed the symptom without ever asking why it was there. My approach uses advanced functional testing to find root causes and real food and lifestyle changes to address them.

What clients say after
working with Sarah
I have so many positive thoughts after working with Sarah for a few months now and want everyone who has digestive concerns to know – you can stop looking for help anywhere else. Sarah is the real deal at figuring out what’s uniquely and specifically going on with you, so she can formulate a plan that heals your gut. I have an insane and complex history of gut problems and Sarah has been more than generous with her time and resources to helping me feel better. I’d seen countless healthcare professionals over the past 25 years and no one has been able to help me in the many ways Sarah has. She is kind, patient, trustworthy, knowledgeable and just an absolute dream to work with! 10/10 would highly recommend!!
After having digestive issues for years, having lots of tests and doctors telling me I was crazy – I came to Sarah. Her tests indicated I was allergic to ALOT of food, and missing some key micro-nutrients. Her 3 month program helped set me straight. She provided me with recipes and recommendations of food to buy. She actually turned me into a cook! My husband was thrilled. I feel better than I have in years, and digestive issues don’t hold me back anymore. Bonus – I even lost some weight! I am so grateful for Sarah and her program.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to go through this program with Sarah. The various tests were very informative and shed so much light on exactly what was going on with my gut. I always felt that regular doctors were dismissive of my issues and quick to give me several prescriptions without identifying the root cause. Sarah used results from my body’s tests to determine exactly what I needed. I can now socialize and go on vacation without being so frightened of the reactions I will have with food. The improvement in my quality of life is undeniable.
—What Changes
Here's what life looks like
when we address the root caues to your constipation.
A realistic picture of what most of my clients experience within the first three months.
You have a consistent, predictable routine
No more guessing, no more waiting, no more planning your entire day around whether you’ll go. Most clients establish a regular routine within the first few weeks.
The bloating and heaviness lift
When your gut starts moving consistently the bloating, pressure, and heaviness that have been your constant companions start to resolve along with it.
You eat without anxiety
Not because you’re avoiding everything — because you actually know what your body can handle and what was causing the problem in the first place.
You stop relying on laxatives
Many clients significantly reduce or eliminate laxative dependence once the root cause is addressed. Your gut starts working on its own the way it was supposed to.
Your energy and clarity come back
Chronic constipation depletes nutrients and creates a toxic burden that affects energy, mood, and mental clarity. As your gut heals, most clients are surprised by how much better they feel overall.
You finally have real answers
Most clients tell me they have more clarity after three months than from every specialist appointment and prescription they tried before combined.

—Why this works
Why this program works
when everything else hasn't
01
The right order matters
Most women come to me having already tried pieces of this — a probiotic here, an elimination diet there, some labs they ordered themselves. The problem isn’t effort. It’s sequence. There’s a specific order to functional gut healing and when you skip steps or stack things randomly, nothing sticks. My program follows a proven clinical sequence so every piece builds on the last.
02
Testing that actually finds the answer
The labs I use aren’t available through your doctor and aren’t covered by insurance — which is exactly why your doctor hasn’t ordered them. Food sensitivity testing, metagenomic stool analysis, and micronutrient testing give us a complete picture of what’s driving your symptoms. All three are included in your program.
03
You won’t be left to figure it out yourself
Getting results on paper means nothing if you don’t know what to do with them. I interpret everything in the context of your full health history, build your plan around your actual life, and stay in your corner for the full three months. Weekly sessions to start, biweekly after that — and I review your food and symptom journals between appointments so nothing gets missed.
04
Results that come faster than you expect
Most clients see 50-75% improvement in symptoms in the first few weeks — not after three months. Because when you remove the right triggers at the right time with the right support, your body responds fast. The three months is where the deeper healing happens and the new habits become effortless.
—Why going it alone keeps you stuck
You've already tried to figure this out.
It hasn't worked
You’ve Googled, you’ve eliminated foods, you’ve bought supplements, maybe you’ve even ordered your own labs and plugged the results into AI. And you’re still here, still dealing with the same symptoms, still frustrated.
It’s not because you haven’t tried hard enough. It’s because gut health has a specific sequence — and without knowing what’s actually driving your symptoms, every change you make is a guess. Some guesses make things worse. Most just waste time and money.
The other problem is information overload. One source says cut gluten. Another says take probiotics. Your friend swears by keto. An influencer is selling a cleanse. None of them know your body, your history, or your test results. And none of them are accountable if it doesn’t work.
“That’s the difference between trying radom things and actually having a step by step plan to solve it.”

—Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you've been wondering
about working together.
WHAT CONDITIONS & DISEASES DO YOU HELP PEOPLE WITH?
I primarily work with women who struggle with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). I also work with clients who struggle with chronic diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, bloating, leaky gut, diverticulosis, reflux, and GERD.
You don’t need a formal diagnosis to work with me as this program is designed to support anyone looking to reset and improve their digestive health.
I’ve also helped women heal autoimmune conditions, migraines, and skin issues in conjunction with the digestive work we do. Although my practice primarily focuses on women’s health, I’ve also worked with men who have any of the above mentioned conditions as well.
WHAT IF I'VE ALREADY HAD A COLONOSCOPY THAT CAME BACK NORMAL?
Normal colonoscopy results are actually very common in the women I work with. A colonoscopy rules out structural damage but it doesn’t find food sensitivities, microbiome imbalances, or nutrient deficiencies — which are almost always the underlying drivers of chronic constipation.
WHAT IF I'M CURRENTLY DEPENDANT ON LAXATIVES?
Many clients come to me on daily laxatives. We don’t stop them abruptly. As your gut starts responding to the program and moving more consistently on its own, we reduce laxative use gradually in a way that feels safe and supported.
DO YOU RECOMMEND SUPPLEMENTS?
Often I will recommend some sort of supplemental protocol to help speed up your recovery. The supplements I recommend will be specific to your needs, not contain any of your sensitivities, and give you the specific nutrients you need in therapeutic dosages. As a courtesy, my program clients get 15% off professional grade supplements when they shop via my online dispensary while working with me.
HOW MANY SESSIONS DOES THE PROGRAM INCLUDE?
HOW SOON WILL I START SEEING RESULTS?
Most clients notice meaningful improvement within the first two to three weeks of starting their personalized plan. Bowel frequency and bloating tend to improve first. The depth of change builds over the full three months.
WHAT KIND OF LABS DO YOU DO? CAN I JUST HAVE MY DOCTOR ORDER THEM?
I use specialized functional medicine lab tests that aren’t available in conventional medical practices or covered by insurance. These may include food sensitivity, comprehensive stool, and in-depth micronutrient tests. Your conventional primary care doctor doesn’t use these tests because they aren’t covered by insurance.
People who’ve eliminated their symptoms with my program often have had other tests done with their conventional medical provider that either came back “fine” or offered no direction for therapy. With my program you won’t waste your time going back and forth between your doctor and your health insurance.
If you already have results from a colonoscopy, endoscopy, celiac panel, or other blood test, you’ll want to submit those to me as part of your assessment. If you plan to work with me and haven’t had a physical in the past year, I’ll give you a list of basic lab work to ask your doctor to order; often doctors will skip over important labs unless you ask.
HOW DO WE MEET?
HOW LONG IS YOUR PROGRAM? WHEN CAN I GET STARTED?
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
My Total Gut Reset Program is not covered by insurance but you’ll get so much more than what insurance allows or deems “billable” or “necessary.” All clients are self pay. I offer the option for a 6 month payment plan via CareCredit. In some cases you can use your HSA or FSA card to pay for the program (you’ll have to check with them first).
My clients pay out of pocket for the program because they know their health is worth than a 7 minute doctor visit and another expensive prescription that just doesn’t work.
You can’t put a price on your health and on being able to eat, travel, and function without pain or discomfort from your gut issues. My program will save you time, thousands of dollars in the long run, and provide the answers you’ll need for complete healing.

HOW MUCH DOES A GUT HEALTH DIETITIAN CHARGE?
Fees for a Gut Health Dietitian will vary depending on:

HOW DO I VET A GUT HEALTH DIETITIAN EXPERT?
Useful questions to ask a potential Gut Health Dietitian Expert:
- How often do you work with people with gut issues? Are you comfortable working with my specific condition?
- Do you provide meal plans and deteailed coaching for implementing dietary changes into my lifestyle?
- Do you understand the difference between a food allergy, food intolerance, and food sensitivity? Do you know how food sensitivities contribute to immune reactions and gut inflammation? Do you know which foods are common irritants to the gut?
- Do you undestand the potential harm of long term restrictive diets (i.e. low-FODMAP) on gut health?
- Do you know how to interpret microbiome tests and know which ones are best? Do you understand the important role of microbiome imbalances in digestive issues and utilize research backed tools to rebalance it? Do you understand that use of certain herbs at high doses can actually harm the delicate ecosystem of keystone beneficial bacteria? Do you understand how to asses if someone is producing inflammatory by-products from overgrowths of opportunistic bacteria? Do you know how to assess and interpret inflammatory markers on these reports? Do you know what foods support a healthy microbiome?
- Do you understand which nutrient deficiencies are linked to gut issues and slowed healing?
- Do you offer frequent check-ins to evaluate progress and adust my plan as needed?
- Do you evaluate my food and symptom journals to identify food sensitivities or intolerances that may have been missed?
WILL I NEED TO CHANGE MY DIET IF I'M WORKING WITH A GUT HEALTH DIETITIAN?
Most likely, yes — but the changes will be likely be so beneficial that you won’t miss your old way of eating. Your diet will be individualized based on your food sensitivity test results and overall digestive profile.
I provide coaching with:
-
Recipe ideas and how to edit them to fit your new diet
-
Food product recommendations you can find at your grocery store and that don’t contain your reactivities
-
A detailed menu planner to help you implement your food sensitivity results in real life
You may need to temporarily dicontinue eating out, stop drinking alcohol, and remove your individual trigger foods. Typically, foods are removed for 3–6 months and can often be reintroduced as your immune system resets in ~90-day cycles. The diet is temporary, and many of my clients report immediate digestive relief, increased energy, boosted mood, mental clarity, and a reduction in water retention & extra weight they’ve been holding onto.
